As a business owner, it’s easy to get wrapped up in my next moves to scale my business, how to enhance the client’s experience at their next appointment or give the best of myself to everyone equally after a 50 hour week. And sometimes the thrill of being my own boss gets lost in the ins & outs of daily tasks. I wish I knew sooner that giving my business my all would look like 110% some days and 33% others. In 3 years of owning my LLC & 6 years practicing, I’ve learned that the most important thing is to do something to create positive momentum every day, whether that’s creating an in depth marketing calendar, reaching out to brides, or researching beauty trends, something is better than nothing. If you’re thinking about starting your own thing, do it. Know that it’s yours if you want it, and you already have the tools to succeed, and there are so many out there that are yet to be discovered. I’m grateful my business never drains me to feel like I have nothing to give in a day. That is how I know this is my purpose.
